Txteagle enables brands to reward emerging market consumers with free mobile phone talk time in return for consumer insight or to incentivize purchasing.

Our mission is to empower global brands to directly engage with their next billion consumers via mobile phones. With access to 2.1 billion emerging market consumers in over 80 countries, we are creating the world’s largest consumer database. Using GroundTruth, our data gathering platform, we can provide real time, targeted insights (for example, the shampoo preferences of rural Indian women 18-24). With GroundSwell, our incentivization platform, we can incentivize a specific brand purchase with virtual couponing (the shampoo comes with a unique code worth $0.25 of free mobile airtime) with scope for group offers (if three friends buy the product, the reward triples).

txteagle is a rapidly-growing, early-stage start-up with $10M in funding backed by Spark Capital, the Blackberry Partners Fund, Qualcomm Ventures, Flywheel Ventures, the Royal Bank of Canada, and Esther Dyson. txteagle is presently earning revenue in 49 countries, with partnerships in place that will enable the expansion to 80 by year end.
